What is Microdermabrasion?
Today, microdermabrasion is the fastest growing application for skin resurfacing and skin rejuvenation. As a non-invasive treatment, it respects the skins integrity, minimises trauma and corrects numerous skin conditions. A powerful stream of Diamond Crystals™ are blown onto the skin under pressure and then suctioned off again using a sterilised nozzle. This process removes dead skin cells and encourages circulation to the treated skin resulting in improved, healthy vital skin.
What can Microdermabrasion do for you?
• Refines open pores and congested skin
• Soften scars
• Soften fine lines and wrinkles
• Lightens pigmentation from the sun
• Refreshes tired, dull looking skin
• Improves blemishes
What results can I expect?
After each session the skin may develop a rosy glow. This resolves quickly. There is freshness to the skin and the visible benefits are immediate, improving throughout a course of treatments. Commitment by the patient is a minimum of 30 minutes per week, for a recommended course of at least 6 treatments and application of daily sunscreen.
Why are multiple treatments necessary?
Most people need a course of 6 treatments for the best results. These are usually a minimum of two weeks apart. Best results are weekly. Some people have monthly treatments as an ongoing part of their skin health programme.
